What is an Affidavit?

AFFIDAVIT n. – A written or printed declaration or statement of facts, made voluntarily, and confirmed by the oath or affirmation of the party making it, taken before an officer* having authority to administer such oath. Source

* or Witnesses, if an officer/Notary has been prevented from performing this duty or is not available

In Round 1 of your Liability Action process, your Affidavit is a verified statement of facts pertaining to the harm being caused or facilitated by your Respondents (recipients).

In Rounds 2 & 3 of your process, the two Affidavits of Non-Response which you include are verified statements, from your two Witnesses of the previous Round, affirming that no responses have been received which are sufficient – with a sufficient response being defined in your Round 1 (Notice of Liability)document.
